Inflation report - Bank of England

The Inflation Report is produced quarterly by Bank staff under the guidance of the members of the Monetary Policy Committee. It serves two purposes. First, its preparation provides a comprehensive and forward-looking framework for discussion among MPC members as an aid to our decision making. Second, its publication allows us to share our thinking and explain the reasons for our decisions to those whom they affect.

- Part 1: The High Level Strategic Framework Consultation Document

RS2010 consultationRS2010 Part 1 consultation document has been prepared by the NWDA and 4NW, in collaboration with partners from the private, public and third sectors. The Northwest is the first region to begin working on an Integrated Regional Strategy. The Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009 now makes it a statutory requirement for RDAs and local authority leaders boards to develop integrated regional strategies to promote sustainable economic growth and contribute to sustainable development in their regions.

NWUA Longitudinal Impact Study of the NW HLSP – Phase One Evaluation Report 2009 (pdf)

In April 2009 NWUA appointed the KSA Partnership to undertake a longitudinal impact study on the NW Higher Level Skills Partnership. The study looks at the impact of the NW HLSP on providers, partners, employers and employees (learners) and will be ongoing until the end of the project in March 2011. Phase one is now complete and focuses on the impact on HEIs / FECs and partners.

Chambers of Commerce North West – Quarterly Economic Survey, Quarter4 2009

Chambers of Commerce North West Quarterly economic Survey reportThe results Chambers of Commerce North West  receive from each Chamber are fed into the North West and then into the national figures. The BCC QES is the largest regular independent survey of business in the UK. It is closely watched by the Treasury and the Bank of England as well as other government departments and is acknowledged to influence economic policy.

NWUA – Higher Level Skills Partnership

NWUAThe North West Higher Level Skills Pathfinder (NW HLSP) funded by the HEFCE as part of their employer engagement activity, has received new funding from the North West Regional Development Agency and the project has been renamed as the NW Higher Level Skills Partnership to represent the collaborative working of all the partners on this area of activity and the development of the project past the original pathfinder status.
