November 28th, 2011

Are you thinking about starting a company but baffled by the world of business finance? Perhaps you run a successful enterprise but could benefit from some advice on venture capital?

On Friday, December 9, the Riverside Innovation Centre (RIC) is hosting its first Funding and Finance Seminar at its base on the University of Chester’s Riverside Campus.

This free event is aimed at businesses of any size that are considering or seeking funding to start or grow a business, and it will give attendees the opportunity to hear from, and question, leading representatives from the business finance industry.

During the event, specialist finance companies and venture capitalists, such as Bibby Financial Services and AXM Venture Capital, will explain how businesses can go about obtaining money from them, what investors need to see from potential funding prospects, and how businesses can prepare for borrowing or attracting investment.

Presentations will also touch on the various outlets that can be approached for investment and different methods of obtaining equity.

Question and answer sessions will be held after each presentation, after which there will be an opportunity to network.

The Funding and Finance Seminar takes place between 1pm and 5pm. The event is free but attendees must register by emailing the RIC at hello@riversideinnovation.co.uk or calling 01244 515 500.
