50/50 Vision – The North West Forum on Ageing

50-50 Vision-logo5050vision, the North West Forum on Ageing, is the region’s partnership response to the changing demographics in the North West and the potential opportunities this presents. It’s a strategic partnership of public, voluntary and private sector organisations and interests. Its aim is to influence policy and decision makers to act to exploit the opportunities offered by the increasing numbers of people over 50 in the population.

Key Regional Activities

Our partnership includes, amongst others, the Regional Development Agency, Regional Assembly, Government Office NW, Age Concern, Job Centre Plus, Learning and Skills Council, Chambers of Commerce, Federation of Small Businesses, North West Universities Association. Full details are shown in the Business Plan together with a list of stakeholder organisations with whom we also work closely including The Age and Employment Network, PRIME and others.

We communicate and promote the opportunities presented by the over 50s and work to influence key policy and decision makers to grasp these. Our priorities help position our work firmly in the arena of economic opportunity as well as equality and diversity.
